StarTap is a great utility that gives your palmtop PC the look and feel of a desktop computer.

You can create shortcuts to files, arrange them in folders on a desktop with wallpaper, switch between running applications, and browse through files on your disks. You can also create new shortcuts and folders on the desktop and organize them with drag-and-drop functionality.

StarTap also includes features such as the Recycle Bin, Control Panel, and Windows Explorer. It has a built-in image viewer that can be accessed by double-tapping a bitmap file; it also offers a battery minder, a screen capture function, and a system info function.

New features in this latest release include a Taskbar replacement that's much closer to the Windows 98 Taskbar look, Start menu and keyboard buttons, an application tray for frequently accessed shortcuts, a set of task buttons to activate currently running tasks, and a system tray.

This trial version expires at the end of each month.
