Description

Smart Accounts 2000 is a simple to use but effective financial management package for home or small business use. You wont need a knowledge of double-entry book-keeping to operate this package.

Smart Accounts is multi-account capable. When you create a new file you are not creating a new account. You are creating a "portfolio" that can contain multiple accounts (but it doesn't have too, you could just use it for one account). All the accounts you create are held in the one Portfolio file. You can enter Regular Entries which are automatically entered on a scheduled basis. You can categorize entries in almost any way you want. Categories can have subcategories and so on to an effectively unlimited depth. You can also produce charts, displays and reports showing expenditure by category.

You can "Forward Project" an account to a date in the future, which automatically enters any regular payments that would fall due. You can then enter "trial entries" to test various "what-if" scenarios. You can archive your accounts to a particular date. Entries are removed from the account and put in an archive file, and the carried forward balances in your accounts adjusted appropriately. You can go back to the archive to review old entries at any time, but they won't clutter up your current data.

As you would expect there are all the usual features of a modern Windows application, including printing, searching, tooltips and comprehensive help.
